This is a test post but I do hope this brief intro clip from a 2019 interview with Charles Gillam, a Louisiana Folk Artist who founded the Folk Art Zone and Blues Museum in Algiers Point, makes you smile. I flew down to New Orleans at the last minute, not knowing anyone, never having visited the city, and for what would be the first part of my circumnavigation that was not on the west coast. During the winter and Spring I often walked around the city, and found Algiers Point to be a charming and quiet place away from the busyness. Soon after meeting Charles we arranged to meet and have a brief interview.
